Boggo Road Markets – Dutton Park

The Boggo Road Urban Village in Dutton Park, Brisbane, also home to the infamous Boggo Road Gaol, has been transformed over the last few years into a mixed use area including residential, retail and commercial facilities and as of the 23rd of October it also has its own markets, the Boggo Road Markets.

Free wine tasting from '2nd to none' vineyards at the Boggo Road Markets.

The Boggo Road Markets are held every Sunday from 7am to 1pm and contain over a hundred stalls providing all that you would expect from a large market including

  • Hot food selection from a wide range of international cuisine.
  • Fresh fruit and veg
  • Local and imported knick-knacks
  • Meat and Poultry
  • Organic produce including fruit and veg, meats and poultry
  • Wine tasting from local regional vineyards.
  • A variety of coffee vendors.
  • Clothes
  • Live entertainment and street performers
  • Entertainment for the kids  and much more

If you are travelling to the markets by car there is a dirt car park located at the rear of the Boggo Road Village complex with enough parking for a busy day, although the car park entrance can become congested with only a small access road. If you are arriving to the market by public transport, Boggo Road Busway station is located a few hundred metres from the markets. For more information on public transport options please visit Translink.

The Boggo Road Markets make for a great inner city morning out and while at the markets, why not participate in one of the guided tours around the outside of the historic Boggo Road Gaol, one of Brisbane’s most notable historic landmarks. (Inside is not yet open to the public from our understanding until 2013.)

it would be ggod to habe one list of markets like they do on the GCCC website.
Then as a visitor or new resident to Brisbane one can find out in one site where markets are on.

Hello Josephine,
Thanks for your comment. We actually have a few areas where you can find what markets are on in Brisbane.
1. Via our Brisbane Markets Map. As we review a market, we add it to the Map so that visitors can find a market in their area. Brisbane Markets Map Link
2. We also have a ‘What’s On Brisbane Events Calendar‘ where event coordinators can submit their upcoming events for visitors to peruse. You can find quite a few markets from around the Brisbane region listed here as well. What’s On In Brisbane Events Calendar Link.

Hope this helps!!
