Hardcastle Park is located between Gordon Street and the Brisbane River and is a popular destination for locals. From the riverbank of the park there are panoramic views across to the suburbs of New Farm and Newstead.The Hawthorne Ferry Terminal is also located at Hardcastle Park.
The facilities in the park include a fun playground for kids with a twisting slide, little row boat, bouncy chairs and other play equipment, a half-court basketball court and barbeque and picnic facilities.
Parking is available on-street around Hardcastle Park or in a small car park at the North end of the park however with the locality of the ferry terminal can be difficult to find parking during the week due to commuters. If accessing the park by public transport you have the Hawthorne Ferry Terminal located in the park or there is a bus stop near the intersection of Gordon and Lindsay Streets. | Parking is available on the adjacent streets to Hardcastle Park or the car park at the Northern end of the park. Parking is however difficult to find during the week due to commuters and the Hawthorne Ferry Terminal. | |
