Green Hill Reservoir

The Green Hill Reservoir is located at the end of Dellamara Street in the suburb of Chapel Hill, Brisbane. The park’s main feature is Brisbane’s largest water reservoir which encompasses the majority of the park’s land space.

The park is also one of the most popular dog off leash areas in Brisbane with the entire park nominated as a dog off-leash zone by the Brisbane City Council. This dog off leash zone is unfenced and rings the water reservoir and provides space for dogs to run.

As you head to the back of Green Hill Reservoir you will come across the “Sir Thomas Gaffney Lookout” which provides panoramic views across to the West of Brisbane and the Brisbane CBD. There is also a small tower that is accessible for a higher vantage point.

Sitting benches are located around the Green Hill Reservoir.

If heading to the reservoir by car there is ample parking at the beginning of the park for over 50 cars. The nearest bus stop is about 600 metres from the park near the intersection of Moggill and Fleming Roads. For more information on public transport please visit Translink.

The reservoir is set in a natural forested area and provides shade in the morning and evenings, however there is limited shade in the middle of the day.

There is a ring road around the reservoir that is used for walking.

The reservoir is one of the more popular and largest dog off=leash areas in Brisbane. The zone is also unfenced.
