Bayside Park is a popular park next to the Manly Boat Harbour along Esplanade in the suburb of Manly, Brisbane. The Manly Swimming Pool is located at Bayside Park and is an all year round pool which is heated in the cooler months.
The park is also well facilitated with a fun little playground for younger children with a navy theme and includes a play navy boat called HMAS Manly, bouncy chairs and swings. Nearby is a large climbing spider web that is sure to keep parents on edge as the young ones explore the upper reaches of the web.
Two long, covered picnic areas are also located around the spider web. The longest contains around 10 picnic tables all with barbeque facilities. Public toilet facilities are located at the end of the row of picnic tables. A large area of lawn is also located in the park for kids to run and ball sports.
On the Northern reaches of the park is a small beach that young kids will love. All of the above make this one of the more popular parks in the Brisbane region and well worth a visit.
If heading to the park by car there is parking available along Esplanade and Fairfield Crescent and the best option for public transport is to take a train to the Manly Train Station, then a walk of around one kilometre to the park. For more information on public transport please visit Translink.
