The C.J Greenfield Complex is located between Freeman and Boundary Road in the suburb of Richlands, Brisbane and is named after Cliff Greenfield who was the sitting Alderman when the area was originally known as Acacia. The complex is one of the predominate sporting complexes in the Inala/Richlands region and caters to a variety of sports and sporting clubs.
Sporting clubs hosted at the C.J. Greenfield Complex include
- Brisband Force Football Club Inc (Inala United Soccer Club)
- West Inala Junior Rugby League Football Club
- Darra Oxley Pony Club
The majority of the park is used by the various sporting clubs including soccer fields, cricket pitches, rugby fields and netball courts mostly located along Freeman Road and the Darra Oxley Pony Club is located on the opposite side of the park on Boundary Road. Open cricket practice nets are also located towards the middle of the park.
A dog off leash area is situated along Boundary Road and is well shaded with sitting benches and a picnic table, however at the time of publication the fence and gates required some maintenance.
Other facilities at the park include a local community hall which can be hired out along with public toilets. Also located near the community hall are two barbeque areas, one with a wood fired barbeque and the other with an electric barbeque and both with covered picnic tables. Two uncovered playgrounds are also found near the community hall. One has a wide variety of play equipment including swings, climbing spider, swing chairs at one playground and the other with an obstacle course theme with small flying fox, heaps of fun climbing objects, a slide.
Parking is available in a gravel car park along Freeman Road on on street on the opposite side of the park along Boundary Road. A bus stop is located near the intersection of Freeman Road and Yulan Street providing the best access via public transport to CJ Greenfield Complex. | Most of the park is open sports fields, however trees are scattered around the edges and also in the North of the park. | |
