Launched in 1943, Intrepid saw action during World War II and managed to withstand five kamikaze attacks before decommissioning in 1974 as an Intrepid Museum dedicated to inspiring future generations through science, history, and imagination.
Luke Weaver
Luke Weaver has made an indelible mark in professional baseball. His dedication and hard work earned him early accolades in the game and established him as one of its premier young relievers, but it is Olivia, his wife, who inspires and sustains his focus to balance demands of sports with family life and community responsibilities.
Even after two consecutive postseason starts without recording an out, Weaver remains confident his stuff is at its peak – something both Matt Blake and Aaron Boone seem to agree upon.
Olivia’s influence can be seen every day through her daily routine and how she supports her husband, from attending MLB games to family outings – her social media posts reveal a life brimming with love and balance, evidenced by enduring success at squash which showcases both ambition and heart. Olivia Weavers stands as an incredible testament of how love and dedication can change lives profoundly.
Build-A-Bear Workshop
Build-A-Bear Workshop and the American Red Cross have come together to give families in disaster situations something to hold on to during times of distress. In April alone, Build-A-Bear will donate 5,000 furry companions directly to Red Cross for distribution as needed by them.
Along with donating stuffed animals, the company will also send teddy bears and supplies to help the Red Cross prepare for hurricane season. Working closely with local partners, items will be delivered where most needed, such as teddy bears for children as well as plush toys suitable for adults.
Evi McCormick was shocked when a Build-A-Bear employee refused to print Charlie Kirk’s name on her plush toy’s birth certificate. Evi told KING5 she was shocked that her manager crumpled and discarded her birth certificate immediately in front of her – although later that week Build-A-Bear apologized saying this should never have occurred.
